Shanghai Charity Network News: On the afternoon of May 6th, a ceremony was held at the Sheshan factory area of Shanghai Maoteng Knitting Co., Ltd. to donate materials to Yushu, Qinghai. Vice District Mayor Zhang Peirong, District Council President Zhang Jinquan, and Vice President and Secretary General Qiu Jingmin attended the ceremony.
The assessed value of the materials donated by Shanghai Maoteng Knitting Co., Ltd. this time reached 1644965 yuan, and the company was awarded a gold medal. As an early Taiwanese enterprise to enter Songjiang, Maoteng not only creates economic efficiency itself, but also actively engages in various public welfare activities. In 2008, it was one of the first enterprises to donate materials during the Wenchuan earthquake. After learning about the earthquake in Yushu, Mr. Lin, who was far away in Taiwan, immediately notified his son, who is the general manager of the company, to donate high-tech clothing produced by the company to the disaster area. For this purpose, they specially made a batch of ready to wear clothing and spent a full 4 days organizing specialized personnel to sort, organize, and pack it. Three box trucks transported 40571 pieces of clothing to the material department of the district meeting.
